General Freelance Rates
Prop Artisan hourly for non-union work starts at $25 an hour with a minimum of 4hours minimum work per day. Overtime starts after 8th hour per day.
Scenic hourly for non-union work starts at $25 an hour with a minimum of 4hours minimum work per day. Overtime starts after 8th hour per day.
Carpentry hourly for non-union work starts at $20 an hour with a minimum of 4hours minimum work per day. Overtime starts after 8th hour per day.
Other Rates
Kit Rental for non-union work starts at $50 a week with a minimum of 1 week per job. Cost increase may be added if all equipment must be supplied solely by the hired party. All mileage, supplies, rentals, and additional safety equipment accumulated must be reimbursed by the employer to the hired party no later then two weeks after the final invoice is sent.
Personal Shop Rental for non-union work starts at $100 a week with a minimum of 1 week per job. All supplies, rentals, and additional safety equipment accumulated must be reimbursed by the employer to the hired party no later then two weeks after the final invoice is sent. Shop availability is dependant on other projects and cannot be guaranteed.
Commission Policies
Props & physical projects - For some pieces a fixed commission price can be negotiated. Cost will depend on scale, quantity, timeline. Even after given a fixed commission price, that amount may change depending on final material costs or additional changes made by the employer after the initial contract or written agreement.
Digital works & prints - For some pieces a fixed commission price can be negotiated. Cost will depend on scale, quantity, timeline. Even after given a fixed commission price, that amount may change depending on final material costs or additional changes made be the employer after the initial contract or written agreement. The original working file will remain the sole property of the hired party. Party commissioning the piece will receive their design in the agreed upon formats. Commissioning party is also allowed up to four revisions before additional charges are added. For relief prints the original block will remain the sole property or the hired party unless otherwise negotiated in writing.
Time & Rush - The minimum time that is required to request a commission is one month before a rush percentage rate will be applied. Projects requested with less then a months notice will have an additional 35% added to the final cost. Rush project requests are dependent on the schedule of current projects and may not be accepted if the project does not look feasible in that time frame.
